Action Now Atlantic is a campaign to end sexual and gender-based violence at universities in Atlantic Canada.
Our mission is to promote a culture of consent on campus through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
We envision a world where all students feel safe, and can focus on the things that matter most to them while attending post-secondary education.
Action Now Atlantic is a We Worthy Women initiative, generously funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE).

Education
Through this project we aim to promote a culture of consent on campuses in Atlantic Canada through the development of educational material, virtual webinars, and various campaigns.

Advocacy
Our Youth Advocacy Network is a cross provincial network of students coming together to discuss the issues on their campus, develop their own on campus initiatives, and call on their institutions for change.

Community Engagement
Throughout the project we are engaging with students, university administration, and community organizations. We are particularly interested in engagement with men and sports teams on campus.
Consent Awareness Week 2022
To round off Consent Awareness Week 2022, we hosting an Atlantic Canada Youth Roundtable Discussion with four incredible students/recent graduates from across Atlantic Canada. This graphic from Emma Richard captured the conversation and highlighted the gaps, challenges, and opportunities for change around sexual violence prevention within post-secondary, specifically in Atlantic Canada.
